Interventional Cardiology Fellow Ameer Musa, MD
A cardiology specialist based in Royal Oak, Michigan, Ameer Musa, MD, is currently completing an interventional cardiology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Ameer Musa, MD, is a skilled internal medicine doctor, having completed his internship and residency at the University of the Kentucky College of Medicine. He also served as chief resident of internal medicine for a year before undertaking a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Rush University Medical Center.
Dr. Musa has conducted extensive research in the field of cardiology and published scientific articles in prestigious journals, including The VAD Journal, The American Journal of Cardiology, and the European Heart Journal. He has also given presentations at conferences like the Kentucky ACP Regional Meeting, the National ACC Meeting, and the National ATS Meeting.
Dr. Ameer Musa holds a BS in chemistry (magna cum laude) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a medical degree (cum laude) from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He was made the dean’s list at both universities.
Between 2010 and 2019, Dr. Musa participated in several volunteer activities, including volunteer patient transport at Memorial Hospital and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville and course instructor of anatomy and radiology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He is a fellow-in-training of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. Outside work, he enjoys playing acoustic and electric guitar and traveling with friends and family. He is also passionate about soccer and baseball.
